As New York Fashion week officially ended today with the Marc Jacobs International show, I decided to review my favorite collections of the week with you guys! The first is the Donna Karan show. The edge was undeniable, yet the silhouettes were classic and sophisticated.
The BCBG Max Azria show was incredible for multiple reasons:
1) Leather
2) Incredible fur pieces
3) Maxi and Midi skirts with boots
4) Need I say more?
The Coach show was so intriguing in the way that the collection included warm and cozy “log cabin”-esque attire along with sharp looks.
One look would seem as if it would be perfect to wear to a weekend in a cozy lodge and the next look to come out would be a leather mini with a graphic sweater (see left).
Finally, my favorite collection of the A/W New York Fashion week! The DKNY show blew me away in all its effortlessly cool glory. The fur gillets and mini skirts added up to a perfect city girl look. Watching the show made me want to pack up my bags and move to New York right then. (As if I don’t want to move there badly enough?!)
I can’t wait to see what London, Paris, and Milan have in store for A/W 2014. What were your guys’ favorite collections? Favorite looks? xx
