My Cup of Tea: London Fashion Week in Review

Again, please excuse my tardiness on posting about the pure joy of London Fashion Week. Usually, London Fashion Week isn’t as discussed as other Fashion Weeks (namely New York and Paris), but this S/S ’15 season was absolutely incredible, in my opinion. As somebody who doesn’t usually fall privy to constantly wearing frills and florals in spring, I loved what LFW had to bring to the table.

First up is J.W. Anderson. After making the transition from menswear to womenswear in 2010, J.W. Anderson has been churning out interesting and cutting edge shapes and designs. I love the clean lines yet fresh structure of this collection, and I look forward to many more.

The outrageously eccentric essence of the Peter Pilotto collection had me riveted right from the very first look. The ability to create such a quirky collection while keeping every look cohesive in some way is a very difficult task that the design house managed phenomenally.

Last, but certainly not least, is Topshop. Topshop never fails us in their innovative and trendsetting collections, and S/S ’15 is no exception. They managed to give us a little bit of everything we love this season – from sportswear to girly embellishments. Not to mention they gave us Cara Delevingne, twice. Furthermore, I personally especially admired the leather handbags many looks were paired with, along with the strappy shoes all models wore.

Needless to say London Fashion Week was a crowd pleaser this year, and it only got me that much more excited for this Spring!

xx
