As promised in my last post: a complete NYC 2-Day Extravaganza Photo Diary.
Above all, it must be noted how absolutely gorgeous upstate New York is in the fall. I realize I’m probably really late to the party on this one but I had to note it.
On our first full day, we explored Brooklyn in the morning, getting coffee and of course stopping at Beacon’s closet – hands down the best thrift store I’ve ever been to. Found an unused Loeffler Randall bag, a full 3.1 Phillip Lim suit, Dior Jacket, Missoni heels – the works. It was amazing. *sighs* I love New York.
After we got back to the island we walked around Soho, and met up with one of my best friends from home! Sadly I didn’t get a picture with her, but you really have no reason to mistrust me on the matter so I’ll leave it at that. We shot an outfit post, and managed to get this picture of me pondering ~stuff~ in front of a classic NYC cab.
So that was Sunday. On Monday, we totally switched gears and dove head first into the Uptown Experience, window shopping on 5th Avenue and munching at Fred’s (in Barney’s New York), along with a restaurant full of “ladies at lunch.” Here’s what I wore:

After lunch, a stroll along Central Park, and a quick stop by the Plaza for a photo-op, we finally headed back downtown to hang in Greenwich Village. We got coffee, looked at puppies (check the adorable puggle below), and generally just tried to forget we’d be headed back to reality the next day.
A quick outfit change:

As a last hoorah, we traveled to the Meatpacking District and hopped on the High Line bandwagon. We watched the sun set over skylines, and soaked in the last rays of New York sunshine we could. The trip was too short, but I guess that just means I’ll have to go back sooner than I thought.
