Playing Tennis

With the weather beginning to really cool down here, I was thankful for a day where I could get away with wearing a skirt. The tennis skirt is quickly turning up across multiple brands and after picking mine up a couple of months ago, it has become one of my favorite pieces. Making white items (specifically white skirts) work when it begins to chill down can be a little tricky. But I just stuck to my usual pairing of all-black, threw in a camel winter hat, and I think it comes together quite well.

Chilly Knees

Despite the fact that I couldn’t feel my knees by the time this shoot was over, I’m really quite in love with this look. From my new booties (which I absolutely adore, thank you Jefferey Campbell!) to the loosely tied back hairstyle, this warm, casual outfit is perfect for the quickly chilling weather. I also can’t pass up an excuse to break out my fedora, or my new comfy grey sweater. xx

Fall Favorites
A couple of posts ago I commented on my excitement regarding the plaid trend this fall. Well, I decided I may as well show you guys everything I’m excited about for this season!  You can still see the bits of plaid in there too. In the top left I show my interest in Moto Jackets this season. They’re surprisingly versatile in that they go with everything without overdoing the edginess. I’m also really excited for things that come back every year, like the booties, beanies and sweaters. I’ve also had my eye on that green velvet jumpsuit for a while– we’ll see if I will end up taking the leap! xx

Pinafore Dress, Asos / T-shirt, Brandy Melville / Leather Jacket, Hinge / Bag, Steve Madden / Shoes, Urban Outfitters

Haight-Ashbury; one might think of the Hippie era initially, but now the street is filled with small thrift and vintage shops that are loaded with pieces waiting to be re-discovered. Though I didn’t find anything on this trip, I’ll be back soon enough ready to find my next vintage obsession.

On another note, this pinafore dress is absolutely one of my favorite fall pieces. It combines two of my favorite A/W trends; Velvet and the Pinafore. I look forward to incorporating it into many memorable outfits throughout the whole A/W season! xx
