One Coat, Two Ways: Part II

Finally – the second part to my favorite two-part post ever.

The more I wear this coat, the more it becomes a part of my identity. I wish I was kidding, but it’s true. This coat has pretty much defined my A/W ’15 look – I literally throw it over whatever I’m wearing to go anywhere, whether it’s class, out to dinner, or anything in between.

Here I’ve clearly tried to dress it up a little, while also adhering to that super-cool grey on grey action that’s been coming up as inspiration a lot lately.

This look is perfect for those fall days where it’s a ~tiny~ bit warmer than usual and suddenly you feel like dressing up just that little bit more for your day. If you feel like it could be too dressy for class (honestly this would not be too dressy for class at McGill – people go crazy up here and I might attempt this as a school look tomorrow in fact), you could easily bring it down a notch by swapping the heeled booties for flat ones, or even converse and warm socks!

Unhealthy Obsessions

Sweater Dress, H&M / Jacket, Sparkle and Fade / Boots, Sam Edelman

Three unhealthy obsessions of mine: moto jackets, fluffy knits (as shown in an earlier post), and of course, boots! The moto jacket obsession has really taken a turn for the worst, however. I came upon this cream colored jacket in my Black Friday shopping spree, and at such a low price I couldn’t resist it! Plus, I told myself, it’s cream. So that’s entirely different from any moto jacket I already have. (Me and my weird Black Friday logic). The sweater dress I’ve had for a couple of weeks, but due to weather I haven’t had such a perfect opportunity to wear it as I did today. It’s extremely cozy (think constantly being hugged by clouds) and versatile in both color and shape. The booties I also haven’t worn, due to fear of scuffing them up. But now that I’ve finally taken the leap of faith, I don’t think I’ll ever not be able to wear them. Happy December everyone! xx
