It’s that time of year again and if you’re not excited for festival season then I’m not sure that we can be friends anymore. Festival season is always exciting – but combine festivals with the massive overtake of the 70’s trend and what you get is insane street style. Here’s one look to hopefully provide inspiration for the lucky ones that get to go to Coachella come April! I’ll finally be attending Governor’s Ball in NYC and Outside Lands back home in SF this year, so you guys will finally get to see what I’ll actually be wearing to a festival this year!
Are any of you guys going to a music festival this year? Let me know where and when!

My festival inspiration continues! The first thing that was said to me when I walked out in this outfit was, “Megan, you don’t normally wear outfits like that!” It’s true – I’m not usually the type to embrace an extremely colorful hippy-esque look. But that’s the beauty of festivals! People can pull off practically anything and wear the craziest outfits and are still able to call it fashion. I like to think of it as taking who you are to the extreme. Sieze the opportunity to take your stylistic interests and elevate them to the next level; to create something really worth remembering. xx

Although I may not be planning on attending a music festival this year, that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate the inspiration that comes with them! The entire festival season is such an interesting time to be watching fashion because it is during festivals that people really step out of their comfort zone in the way that they dress. A lot of stuff can slide by during a music festival that normally wouldn’t; busy outfits become really cool outfits, and flower crowns become an essential. I’ll be posting Coachella-inspired outfits all week to make up for the the fact that I’m not one of the lucky bunch that gets to go! xx
With Coachella only days away, and fringed pretty things lining the shelves at stores, I think it’s safe to say that festival season has officially begun! Up above are just a few of the many trends that I love to see people rock as they rock out to good music. There are the obvious pieces like cutoff shorts and Birkenstocks, but I’m loving the fairly newcomers like big bad boots, overalls, kimonos, and colorful bralettes! You also can’t forget a long duster sweater for when the night takes over. If you’re lucky enough to attend Coachella this weekend or any other upcoming festival, I hope you have an amazing time! xx
P.S. Look out for all my festival-inspired outfits this week for some extra inspiration if needed!
