It’s a Skirt Thing

In all honesty, I’m not much of a skirt person. To me they’re a little more hassle than they’re worth and I always find myself adjusting and pulling them around. But, just like everything else, I can make an exception. This skirt really stood out to me for multiple reasons, and yes, the color scheme is one of them! They other main reason I love the skirt is that it has that tuxedo skirt flare without the formality of a tuxedo skirt, which I absolutely love. I also must acknowledge this amazing jean jacket by Earl Jeans that got handed down to me! The fit and color are perfect – a new summer staple! xx

Today’s outfit is probably the epitome of a “me” outfit. I love to mix slightly rebellious pieces with girly touches, but the overall tone of the outfit is much more edgy than not. These moto pants are a new favorite addition to my wardrobe. I needed some color in my wardrobe, and I also needed some new pants. But I was definitely hesitant to buy colored pants, because let’s face it; the last pair of colored pants I wore were my hot pink skinny jeans from 6th Grade. The thing I love about green, however, is that it acts as a sort of denim. It’s neutral for the most part, unless you intend to highlight the color with the rest of what you’re wearing. We’ve been seeing army green a lot lately,  and army green is great, but I’d suggest going  for something evergreen, like my pants! xx

Beanies and Booties

So after my post yesterday I decided that if I can’t have winter here, I’m going to simply pretend its cold by wearing my favorite Fall outfits. How the weather is strange here. I’ve had these booties since last Spring, and I’ve been in love with them ever since. Because I bought them right before the warm season, I haven’t gotten many opportunities to wear them. I intend to right this wrong by wearing them as much as I can this A/W season. I think everybody needs some little black booties in their closet! xx
