It’s no secret that black is the best color (shade, whatever), especially if you’re trying to create a cute outfit in an instant. It’s also no secret that a leather jacket functions well in this context as well. So as a Uni student who needs something to be thrown together in ten minutes for class, there could not be a better prototype of an outfit. Black leather on black is always a classically chic combination, and its easy. You don’t even have to be a student to pull it off! Anybody can wear it, it works for almost any occasion, and its, quite simply, just plain cool. xx

P.S. Happy October everyone! The leaves are turning and pumpkins are already out, how can you not be excited?

Happy Valentine’s Day! I got spirited with today’s outfit, but I also just really love this jacket. The headband I recently bought, and I’ve gotten a lot of wear out of it! The sharp design add some edge to something that is typically a little younger and extremely practical. I hope everyone’s day is fantastic, whether you’ve got a significant other or not! You’ll be able to find me shamelessly stuffing my face with chocolate and having a great night watching the new movie Endless Love with some girlfriends. xx

Skinny jeans, booties, and a leather jacket. Could life get any better? Although some might say this is a typical me outfit, they would also say that long baggy blouses are not entirely my scene. They would be right on both counts. I think that when trying out a piece that’s not so much your style, it’s comforting to pair a new piece with the things you’re most comfortable in. That way, you can allow yourself to ease into a new trend that you’re trying out, and you know you’re sticking to your own style. Being bold with the things you wear is one of the best parts about fashion. But if you’re anything like me, there’s hesitation the first time you wear a new trend outside of the house. Is it going to look okay? Am I going to regret this outfit later? Even if it doesn’t, at least you were comfortable! If you do like it, try going even bolder the next time around. xx

Balancing Act

Trousers, Topshop / Leather Jacket, Hinge / Tee, Zara / Shoes, Converse

I like to think that my style is a somewhat balanced combination of sweet and edgy. Although these are contradicting ideas, I try to create a Ying and Yang feel in every outfit I put myself in. If it’s too preppy, I add my trusty Converse or a pair of boots. If it’s too grunge, I throw on my Katz flats, loafers, or a blazer. When I came across these perfect plaid trousers, I simply had to have them. End of story. But I knew it would be a challenge to create a look that was truly me. So I used all my tricks, and I managed to take these pants and incorporate them into an outfit that encompasses all that I love regarding style. This idea of balance within an outfit is very important to me when crafting an outfit. xx
