In the midst of the craziness that is keeping up with New York Fashion Week, I thought I’d make a little outfit post for you guys. This is a pretty basic go-to outfit for me: ripped jeans, booties, and a v-neck sweater-long scarf-moto jacket combo on top. It’s an effortlessly cool look, while remaining comfortable and warm too.

With Valentine’s Day (or Galentine’s Day, however you’ll be celebrating it) around the corner, I thought it would be fun to present you guys with different outfits inspired by different dates you guys might be going on this Saturday! This first look is for a casual movie date. I kept it comfortable with jeans and a scarf, while adding some edge and personality with the leather jacket and studded boots. See you back here tomorrow with Valentine’s Week’s second look!

Despite the fact that I couldn’t feel my knees by the time this shoot was over, I’m really quite in love with this look. From my new booties (which I absolutely adore, thank you Jefferey Campbell!) to the loosely tied back hairstyle, this warm, casual outfit is perfect for the quickly chilling weather. I also can’t pass up an excuse to break out my fedora, or my new comfy grey sweater. xx

To answer the first question I got from a lot of people while wearing this outfit; yes, those are cat ears. The hat was simply too adorable to pass up. Fall here in Montreal can’t seem to make up its mind about what temperature it wants to be, and on these days I like to experiment with some fall looks that show a little more skin. Because let’s be honest: before fall starts we start picturing ourselves wearing adorable dresses with coats and booties, and when the air turns chilly that’s not always the reality.
