Swaychic = Tres Chic

Processed with VSCOcam with m3 preset

So on Friday evening I attended the Swaychic X Trashe event at the Swaychic store on Haight Street! I’ve never been to a party where you shop before, but I quickly realized that if my dream party was going to become a reality, it would look a little something like this. I had never been in a Swaychic store before, but the clothes were amazing! It’s the perfect place to go when you want a piece that really stands out, whether it be the print or the design. Above is a picture of me with a couple of “Swaybabes,” and below is a picture of all my purchases from the party, I’m so excited to try them out!

Blazer, Topshop / Shoes, Topshop / Bag, Marc by Marc Jacobs / Hat, LF

How long it’s been since I’ve last posted! This blazer remains to this day the best shopping surprise I’ve ever received. After scouring through the Topshop website daily leading up to my trip to their store in Soho, I thought I’d seen everything. I knew what I was going to go for and I thought I knew exactly what I was going to end up taking home. Well I was completely wrong! Turns out I hadn’t seen everything, and I left the massive store with several completely different items from what I had imagined, this amazing blazer included. Sometimes the best purchases are the ones you don’t see coming! xx

But What Do I Wear on Black Friday?!

Hi all! I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving, and a very good Black Friday! Many fashion blogs write about Black Friday shopping guides this time of year, and that is extremely helpful and much appreciated by me. But I started thinking about Black Friday  on Thursday night, and I suddenly began to fret over what I was going to wear! With every store being in a frenzy for the best deals, it can be stressful attempting to try on everything you like. So I made a fool proof outfit that is perfect for Black Friday, or any big sale.

1) Be comfortable! I always want to feel my best when shopping, and an uncomfortable outfit isn’t going to help me with that.

2) Wear pants that are easy to take off. It takes the stress level down by a factor of 1000.

3) Wear shoes that are slip-ons. Don’t waste any precious shopping time undoing laces or a buckle!

4) T-shirts are recommended. They’re the easiest type of shirt to take off, and if you want to try on a jacket or a sweater, there’s nothing stopping you from trying it on in the middle of the store.

5) It may sound odd, but make sure you’re fresh and clean for your day shopping! There’s nothing that can make a shopping experience worse than feeling gross.

6) Finally, make sure your outfit fits all these requirements while remaining extra stylish. If you happen to get into a fight over a pair of shoes, the opponent will know how much you deserve them if you’re dressed better than them!

Hope this guide helps you in your future sale endeavors, and good luck! xx

Haight-Ashbury

Pinafore Dress, Asos / T-shirt, Brandy Melville / Leather Jacket, Hinge / Bag, Steve Madden / Shoes, Urban Outfitters

Haight-Ashbury; one might think of the Hippie era initially, but now the street is filled with small thrift and vintage shops that are loaded with pieces waiting to be re-discovered. Though I didn’t find anything on this trip, I’ll be back soon enough ready to find my next vintage obsession.

On another note, this pinafore dress is absolutely one of my favorite fall pieces. It combines two of my favorite A/W trends; Velvet and the Pinafore. I look forward to incorporating it into many memorable outfits throughout the whole A/W season! xx
