Free People Dress / Free People Shoes / Urban Outfitters Hat / YSL Sunnies
This outfit was supposed to have a leather jacket, but the weather really wasn’t having any of it. I’m now in Montreal and even though it’s September I don’t even think I could get away with wearing this much clothing in the weather we’re getting up here! (Meaning, it’s really hot and will be it seems for a while).
Even though I’ve got fall on the mind and my last two posts exemplify this, I guess I’ll just have to accept the hot weather and try to appreciate it while it lasts.
The Outside Lands Music Festival, which took place this past weekend, was an amazing experience that I will never forget. Seeing Elton John perform live was a privilege and a dream-like memory that I will hold on to forever. These days, it feels like the hype of music festivals surrounds basically anything other than what an amazing time they can be. Don’t get me wrong – the style was amazing and although I didn’t see any, a celebrity siting would have been interesting, but Outside Lands was a serious reminder that the goal should be an indescribable experience brought to us through music, and nothing else.
With that said, here’s what I wore:
And here are some more pictures:
Did any of you attend Outside Lands, or any other music festival this summer?? Let me know!
With Valentine’s Day (or Galentine’s Day, however you’ll be celebrating it) around the corner, I thought it would be fun to present you guys with different outfits inspired by different dates you guys might be going on this Saturday! This first look is for a casual movie date. I kept it comfortable with jeans and a scarf, while adding some edge and personality with the leather jacket and studded boots. See you back here tomorrow with Valentine’s Week’s second look!
A poncho? In winter? The notion does seem strange – but ponchos, or “ruanas,” are the new and sophisticated approach to casual loungewear, and I’m loving it. This gem is from Free People and I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s easy to throw on over practically anything, be it a coat, a jean jacket, or even a simple sweater. Although a poncho may be harder to style in the cold and harsh winters back east, it is the perfect winter piece for my fellow west-coasters. Ponchos are also something to seriously keep in mind for when the east coast faces the transition into spring!
